The SRS indicator stands for Supplemental Restraint System. This light is coming on due to that fact that the system in which controls the air bags have found a fault that may cause the air bags to not work correctly, or not work at all. See the system actually does self tests over and over to make sure that everything is in order. If a fault is found the light comes on, along with the light is an internal trouble code. The trouble code is the starting point for diagnosing this problem. The real problem is getting this trouble code out of the car. You must use a class 2 scan tool that has the ability to read body failure codes such as the SRS. This is the $3000+ tool used by the pros. If you have access to one of these I can really get into your actual problem. Without one, you will not be able to accurately diagnose this problem. Feel free to contact me with any questions, findings or if you would prefer a second opinion! Good luck!
